The Man of Feeling.

SKU: 16182

Introduction by Kenneth C. Slagle.  Originally published in 1771, this novel established MacKenzie [1745-1831] as the Man of Feeling and a representative of Edinburgh. Supposed remnants of a tattered manuscript, the tale of this most generous, tearful man forms a novel of sentiment. Mackenzie was an attorney, editor and chief contributor of the weekly Mirror, and helped found the Royal Society of Edinburgh. VG condition. Norton. 1958 but a more recent printing. Paper.
