Edited by Arlette Zinck, with illustrations by Shannon Goetze. Dr. Alison White was an accomplished critic of poetry, dedicated researcher, and popular professor. She was able to make use of her intererst in children's books when she pioneered the study of children's literature as the first woman hired in the Department of English at the University of Alberta. She wrote the poems and story in this volume when she was a child in the early 20th century, and shared the poems over the years with students and friends.
