Covers family history topics such as Austen's great-grandmother's struggles as a single mom, Aunt Philadelphia's marriage, Eliza de Fuellide's life and adventures, Mrs Leigh Perrot's trial, the Stoneleigh inheritance, Edward Austen's succession to the Knight properties, with an ending chapter on the American reception of Jane Austen.
